Αυτο είναι ενα πιο μεγαλο "version" απο το Peanut σκεδιο του Walt Mooney με λιγα "tweaks" εδω και εκει.   Εκανα ένα 5 χρονια πριν ομως είχα πολύ προβλματα με το "undercarriage", ποιο σπασμενε σκεδων καθε πτηση.  Ελπιζω αυτο το μοντελο θα είναι πιο δυνατο και επισης ετοιμο για το BMFA Scale Indoor στο Walsall σε Απριλιο. Θα δουμε.

Λοιπαμαι, ομως πρεπει να γρασψα της λεπτομερειες απο το "build" στα Αγγλικα, γιατι το Ελληνικο λεξιλογιο μου είναι μικρό.  Corrections to dodgy grammar and vocabulary are always welcome.

This is a larger version, with some modifications, of Walt Mooney's peanut scale Chiribiri No. 5.  I built one over 5 years ago and although it flew the undercarriage was fragile and the model spent more time being repaired than flown.  I'm hoping that with a larger version I can make the undercarriage robust enough without a weight penalty to spend more time flying than repairing.

I'm also hoping to have it ready for the BMFA indoor scale intermediate class event in April, but it may be that it will have to wait until 2027.

To business.
1 - What idiot thought a scale rib count was a good idea.
2 - One fuselage, mostly complete.

Wings.  Waiting for final shaping of the leading and trailing edges as well as the addition of through tubes (probably fine grass stems) for rigging mounting points.

2 - Both wings resting in place.  The top cowling will be fitted properly nearer the end of the build.

Any Greek readers care to let me know the usual terms for the various parts (undercarriage, leading edge, trailing edge κτλ) I'd be pleased to know them

Looks amazing! Not sure if I'll make it fr the BMFA Nats, but would love to see this completed!

Χρειασεται της μεντεσεδες.  Ο θαλαμος του Trinity δεν είναι φαρδύς, 13μ μονο, και δεν θελω τα μεγαλα "trim tabs" για αυτο το μοντελο.

Πανω, κατο - 1/20" x 1/32"  (≈1,2mm x 0,8mm) basswood
Πλευρα* (  1/20" □  μπαλσα 7.5lb/cu ft  ≈ 126g/dm^3**
Ο στυλος για της μεντεσεδες 1/20" □ 9.5lb/cu ft μπαλσα ≈ 160g/dm^3
Αλλα ξυλο 1/20 7.5lb/cu. ft μπαλσα

* Ηπαρχουν καλητερες λεχες για αυτη κατασταση;
** Αν λογοριαζω σωστο!

Next small step the rudder/fin.  The hinges are wire from sandwich bag ties. A moveable rudder is very, very helpful for flying at Trinity because the maximum circuit without obstacles is only 13m and large trim tabs on such a small rudder/fin would look ugly.

As usual trying to keep the tail parts as light as possible so thin section wood is used. Ribs and hinge post are 1/20" balsa and the upper and lower curves are 1/20" x 1/32" basswood.  The hinge post is made of slightly harder wood so that the hinges don't pull out.

Ενας αλλο συστατικος, η ουρα (η σωστη λεξη;)

Προβλεπω προβηλματα με της προτες πτησες.  Δειτε το "reflex" εγκαρασια τομη, φαινεται να υηπαρχει "up elevator".

Next bit, the tail plane.  I can see the reflex cross-section causing some interesting behavior when it comes to trimming as it looks as though it gives a permanent up elevator.  After I built the peanut version I thought that if I ever built another I would use a flat tail-plane, but (silly boy) I thought I'd give the scale shape another go.  If it doesn't work I will replace it with a flat version.

1 - Shimming the trailling edge outline to meet the tail of the ribs
2 - Packing the lower spar with folded paper.
