Dear Tasos, many thanks for your answer... I have seen these results, nice number of competitors, congratulation...
But for the serie of FAI-F5J Inter Tour 2012 we will need a bit different results :-)
Winner must have 1000 points and other competitors as is usual for international ranking - e.g. in F3J :-)
Can you help me with this ?

I do not see a simple way to provide you with what you ask  because of......
The Greek F5J-GR rules are a bit different than the FAI rules.
The reason is that everybody here is either interested in flying  the event or not at all.So there is a tremendous lack of helpers timekeepers etc.In fact it is quite difficult to find a person for the place of the contest director.
What we did was to create a suitable set of rules which eliminated the  need for organization personnel.
Essentially it is a "man on man" event without normalization needs.
There are only penalty points depended upon completion of the simple task of flying 10 minutes and then landing during the 11th minute's duration in a quite large area(no seperate targets).The penalty points are awarded in respect with the landing sequence of the participants.There are some more rules also....

Vasilis covered most of the competition ....regarding organization and scoring.

I'll try to describe the event, everybody's assistance is welcome !

So we gather at the modelfield or a field.
The task we fly is simple ...10 minutes and an additional 1 for landing !
We have a stopwatch that initially informes the pilots 30 sec before the take off and countdown to launch with a consecutive sound for the last 5 sec.
On the 8th minute stopwatch sounds again to inform pilots about the flight time.
On the 9th minute stopwatch sounds again on the 9.30 and the last 10 seconds, if I remember well !
People full filling this task are getting 0 penalty points.
Penalty points, are assigned to pilots that didn't reach the safety of the 10 minutes flight and as follows
The first landed is getting the maximum of the number of pilots flying in the row no more than 12 pilots = 11 points
The second 10 and goes up to the previous of the last which gets 1. Even if the last pilot landed prior the 10 minutes limit he gets 0 points.

Ranking is finalized at the end of the day, if we fly 9 rounds we throw away one and if we fly 10 and above two !

At the end we might have a ranking fly off for the three top pilots and also for anybody else on a tie !

This kind of competition, as Vasilis described, is eliminating the need of timekeepers per pilot and helpers.

Quite simple and interesting together.
