60mm “Mighty Mite” Specs: Kv-4620, R (ohms)- 0.021, Weight- 75 grams, 3mm shaft. Application-
60mmEDF, Battery- 3s-4s lipo, 650 watts. :  Our picks:  (Alfa 5-blade fan from Hobby Lobby, Castle 45 esc, Thunder Power 4s 2250mah V2 Lipo;  should draw around 42amps)

70mm “Beast” Specs: Kv- 4130, R (ohms)- 0.0085, Weight- 130 grams, 1/8th shaft size.   Application-
70mmEDF, Battery- 4s-5s lipo, 1700 watts. Our picks:  (Schubler 70mm fan was 71amps on 4s TP 3300mah V2 lipo, & 100amps on a 5s TP 3850 V2 lipo; Castle 80-125amp esc)
(Wemo Mini 480 fan was 83 amps on 4s, 111amps on 5s) Over 3lbs of thrust on 4s with both fans, and over 4lbs of thrust with 5s.

70mm “Wild Beast” Specs: Kv- 4880, R (ohms)- 0.007, Weight- 130 grams, 1/8th shaft size.   Application-
70mmEDF, Battery- 3s-4s lipo, 1700 watts. (Schubler 70mm fan was 86amps on 3s TP 3300mah V2 lipo(over 3lbs thrust), & 116amps on a 4s TP 3850 V2 lipo(over 4lbs thrust).
The Wemo Mini 480 is about 10amps more for 3s and 4s with this motor with around the same thrust as the Schubler.  We like the Castle 125 esc for this motor just to have a little room.


Just in case you don’t have this, here is the set-up we like for our motors with the Castle esc’s.

Motor Start=Medium
Throttle Response=Medium
Timing=Low advance
PWM=13KZ
Current Limiting=Normal
No Brake
Auto Li-po

All of this test data was based on our own Medusa set-up.  These are the numbers that we got on a consistent bases for more than 9 months.
Our motors have a cooling factor in the air that most motors don’t because of the way we wind them.  Plenty of air gets into the motor.  The
current-draw usually goes down in the air with our motors.  Most of the other EDF motors on the market don’t “unload” in the air like ours do.
