Aeromodelling GR

Hello Guys,

the first three weeks of july this year i want to have my holidays on crete. So i consider to pick up one of my helis (preferred the T-Rex 250). But the question is: Is there anybody to meet and jointly fly? Is there an model airfield or a club?

My target is Stalida eastern of Hersonissos. I know the Kastelli airport, but it's military.

OK, someone from Crete (Kriti in greek...) just replied, however he is not very good with english, so here is a translation.

What he says is that there is a model flying ground very close to Hersonissos, at Anopoli, about 15 min drive.

there is also A.O.A.'s model field in Arkalochori, and the M.P.A.'s field in Iraklion.

Wow, i'm very impressed.

First very thanks to George for the translation. Round about 5-10 words of understanding greek is not enough to do a conversation. ;) I am very pleased if you help me with the translation again to talk to Dimitris. Possibly if he understand german it makes the conversation easier. ;)

@Dimitris: The website (www.eahk.gr) i found yesterday night, but there also my greek is not enough to understand the website. So i does'nt found your flight site. But today i'm very, very surpriced: I know Anopolis from my past vacations. Water City is beautiful. ;) Also when i look at the pictures of your linked thread i'm very surprised that your community is soooo large.

@Haris: Slowly i understand. So i suppose that the photo i found yesterday (http://www.wes-technik.de/images/Customers/Vardi-Bee.jpg) is from your club. If i compare it with the photos at your web page there are some similarities. Is the contact address at your web page (http://www.aoa-rc.gr/joomla/index.php?option=com_content&view=article&id=47&Itemid=54) right to contact? At the moment i do not want to register myself to this forum so i can't send you an private message.


Now i must spend all my energy to get a heli whith me to Crete. My vacation is from 28 of June to 19 of July. Both airfields are in reach from Stalida (Stalis in german) so i think i will be visit both of you. Is at one of your airfield any event at this time? So i can meet all of you. The finally contact i want to establish at end of May / beginning of June i think. So we can make an appointment.
