Hello,

I will do a trip in Greece and I think it will be interesting to do some FPV flights and aerial video in Corfu.
I intent to fly a 2 kg quadcopter, can anyone please tell me the regulations for flying this kind of stuff in Greece ? Is this legal ?

Thanks !

As far as I know the following apply:

It is not legitimate if you do not get permission from the CAA. (ΥΠΑ in Greece)
You need to file a flight plan at least 15 days before the flight.
Drone should be insured against third parties.
Flying away from airports.
Operator should have evidence that he/she is properly trained

Should I be concerned of not having the upper mentioned stuff ? I will only do this in non populated zones.

I suppose that if you fly it as an aeromodel, i.e. line of sight, no higher than 400ft, away from streets, people etc, you should have no problems.
Of course the best precaution is to use a "buddy" box with which another person can take control of the quadcopter anytime and land it safely.
