If  you'r talking about  a gas engine kill switch,think about SAFETY FIRST!!!
The gas (magneto or electronic ignition) engines,must be set up with two" independent" ways of shutting-off the engine.
One is with your throttle trim to be able to  shut-down the engine on ground or in the air.
Second  with the use of a small automotive  electric switch,connected between the magneto ground wire (If a magneto engine is used),or in your case the switch will be on the BLACK wire between the battery and your electronic box.
The switch is usually mounted at the bottom of your cowling and must be clearly mark ON-OFF.
This way the engine can be killed on the ground manually and you can be sure that the engine will not start accidentally when priming the engine and bump the radio switch by mistake or by malfunction of the inner switch  that you can not see .
REMEMBER that when you touch  the prop the engine can fire at any time without any warning.
Assuming  that the engine is alive when you turn the prop,and wearing  a leather glove  will  guaranty that you will keep you 5 fingers on your hand.

The last person hit the nail on the head!!!  A bad spark plug or a non resistor plug will cause the problem.
Also there is the GROUND wire that supposed to ground the spark plug wire (pipa) with the engine block (body),and i think that this my fix your problem.

Happy Easter everybody.
Flying season is here and i'm getting the dust out of my planes so my grandson and i start flying again.
The strangest think happened to me today.We went to the field to do some flying and i saw a couple planes in bad shape  in the pits area.
A few minutes later my grandson tells  me they are for sale and  he wants me to buy him the one plane that look like a racer.I tell him that it looks like something i re-design the plans  and build many years ago.
I gave him $5 and he comes back with it.I said put it in the van and we will work on it some time in the near future so you can fly it.
After a few hours we are getting ready to go home and i'm situating the planes in the van and as i'm trying to move that plane,my eyes catching the unique landing gear.I look more thoroughly and i see the traces of blue paint (unique color again  left over from the painting one of my equipment) inside the fuselage .
Guess what ,this is my old plane that i design on a deer hunting trip up on the mountains about 25-27 years ago.
I gave it to a friend aprox.20 years ago and after some time he sold it to someone else.
The plane has been taken a long trip and come back to me.
This time i will re-build it and cover it to the original looks and i'll pass it to my grandson.
I think it is an interesting story and belongs on the section" us and our models".I will try to send some pfotos of the existing condition and the original build 27 years ago.
P.s. It was flying so well (like an Extra) that  I re- design it and build a Giant scale  94" with a Brison 4.2 and 25 pounds weight about 18 years ago  that i still have it and fly  today.

Scale event is just what it says  EVENT for SCALE planes.
The organizers always mix some other type of show planes,3D , and or regular planes flying,but the main reason we are there is, to see and appreciate scale flying machines  and builders,the pride and joy of our hobby.
The scale builder is the one that goes the extra mile,the guy with the talent and knowledge to details ,the one that is sanding on a piece of balsa for two-three hours to get it wright and bring it to life.
So when we go to a scale event our priority should be to  see and appreciate  how it is done ,why is this done this way,what material they use,what technique ,e.t.c.
Our hobby is for EVERYBODY ,but detail is what makes our work outstanding. 
ps. it takes aprox. over a year , to build a scale model ,(some times more). If you  only interesting  to spend $100-$300   to buy and fly an ARF ,this event is NOT  for you.
On the other hand if you like AIRPLANES ,you can not wait, to go to a scale show.

FAA saying now  that the FAA number must be posted in every airplane ,along with the AMA number, and who can tell what comes next.....

The FAA said that registration is MANDATORY and free till Feb-19-16,thereafter will cost $5.It is valid for 3 years.We must carry the  FAA registration with us every time we fly.Weight 250grams-25Kg. Above 25 AMA has guide lines that must to be followed.
You don't have to register all your planes ,just your self.If they  come to the field and your not register,your looking at a very heavy fine of thousands of $$$
It is also understood that all of  our models MUST have our AMA information (sticker) on them,inside the fuselage.
They don't want us flying above 400 feet ,unless  we notify the nearest  airport and they want us to have a visual contact with the plane in flight.Another wards don't fly your model with the help of a TV monitor  behind a building or structure e.t.c.(Not that you can fly as far as you can see the model as it was mention by someone else)

Hi Gianni.When two engines  of the same rotation are used  on a twin ,the one on the Right side should be set @1 1/2 to 2 degrees right thrust.
Also  depends on the airfoil ,flat or symmetrical ,the wing will need or not, 1 or two 2 degrees down incidence ,and sometimes more depends on the design of the plane.
The reasons of the right thrust are:1.so the plane, will track straight and not be pulling to the left, caused by the torque from the two props (the p factor), and 2.in case the left engine quit running it will prevent the plane from entering a left hand uncontrollable  spiral  spin and crash.
It doesn't look too bad,only an experience eye can see that offset  on a plane.
All those details (with the changes (if needed ) will be available when i start working on the blue prints,and i will post them on this article .
It  may be needed  farther minor changes to the re-design after the first test flights .If so i will make notes and let you know.   
Please add more details for the guys that  may be interesting in twins.It is much more difficult to me cause i forgot how to install the translator in Greek. Take care.Jim

Good morning Gianni and Friends,
Gianni over the years i have design several twins of various sizes , or make changes on the designs of others,from single to twin.
The wing will be build-up balsa and  as you stated will be reinforced , nacells will be build-up,idividual tanks,one servo to control both engines,enlargement  to Fin and Rudder,incidence on wing and engines,engine thrust differential between the two engines to compensate the torgue of the right engine,and in case of an engine-out situation,  tricycle landing gear for good looks, CG issues. Usually the twins are tail heavy do to the fact that the engines are located closer to CG and the tail moment is longer .The battery location should take care of it.
And of course the  Greek decals on the wing and Greek flag on the Fin (which has been  my policy over the years, the GREEKS are here)
Be patient !!!!!
p.s. Currently i'm rebuilding one of my Siato 45s on my Sig Cadet which i  re-design from single to twin engine many years ago and  scratch-build it in 7 days.
Now i am on my third engine and 2'nd rebuilding  and still looks good and fly grate .
The re-design was so successfull , that can fly on one engine with very little effort and something you don't see often, it can take off one one of the little 45 saito.

ps. I was given a set of plans from John  Kon/kos last year i  believe ,and  soon as my grand-kids (7-10) and i, finish their first scratchbuild  trainer  8' Telemaster, we are going to start on a 1 1/2  scale  Thlemaxo  Twin Engine , powered by 2 x 40  OS 4cycles, that happen to be available.

I can't see any dihedral .
If not, ailerons will be a good idea.
I don't want to get too technical,but if you don't have one or the other, you are going to have stability issues .
